National horse day is celebrated every December 13th. It’s a day to remember the economic,historical and cultural contribution that horses have made.
WHAT TO DO;
Go for a horseback ride.
Watch a horse movie
Donate to an equine charity.
Never have i horse ride before and when i will try definitely I’ll bring my experience here. I’m planning to visit ngong racecourse for a horse ride.
WHAT DO HORSES EAT;
Horses eat grass and hay or haylage,salt concentrates and fruits or vegetables can also enhance their diets depending on the required work regime and available feeds.
To be specific i don’t know much about horses and I don’t want to bring zero content here but atleast i know places that offer horse ride like the paradise lost, the blue post Thika, ngong racecourse and the Nairobi showground.
Also I know few things that kill horses in a few hour to 36hours;
1, BOTALISM
often associated with haylage feeding
2,IONOPHORE TOXICITY
Associated with feed contamination.
3,YEW TOXICITY
Associated with horses consuming clipping from this common ornamental shrubs.
4,POISON HEMLOCK
Found in swampy areas
